I needed to implement a news ticker for the new British Red Cross corporate site but couldn't find one with controller functions for next/previous/play/pause. After a little searching I came across a really good basic news ticker called liScroll created by Gian Carlo Mingati. I have taken the version 1 code from this and created a customised version seen below:

I have created a simple ticker demo page if you want to use the updated code for your project.
